I am a painter based in Altrincham, Manchester, UK. I work in various media including oils, acrylics, pastel, and mixed media, and I particularly enjoy creating urban collages, landscape and still life paintings. Additionally, I like to experiment with monoprint and relief printing techniques.
My main inspiration comes from the landscape, both rural and urban. I enjoy observing, interpreting, and recording my surroundings, from the wilds of the Peaks and Lakes to the spectacular cityscapes of Manchester and Liverpool.
I’m an enthusiastic member of the Altrincham Society of Artists, with whom I exhibit at least twice each year. I also exhibit with small groups of likeminded artists and take part in Art Fairs and open studio events. I am a member of Manchester Urban Sketchers, having participated in their One Drawing at a Time exhibition at Salford Art Gallery, as well as the Local Colour Exhibition in Altrincham, showcasing my urban sketches. I’ve also been successful in entering many open exhibitions including exhibiting on three occasions at the Manchester Open at HOME
